Men’s
Club
One fun-filled year ended for the Men’s Club in June...
... THEN WE TOOK A FEW DEEP BREATHS...
... and we started off on another one! As if the 2009-2010 calendar
wasn’t packed with enough great Men’s Club events, along comes the
2010-2011 calendar with so much more.
•
We kicked things off on Sunday, July 25th with our huge 2nd Annual Yard
Sale.
• Just a week later, on Sunday,
August 1st we set sail on the Big M Casino Cruise.
• Then on Thursday night, August
19th it was Men’s Club Night at Hammond Stadium. We were out in force
to see our Ft. Myers Miracle play the rival Charlotte Stone Crabs. A
great evening to socialize and partake in Thirsty Thursday.
• Once again this year, the
Men’s Club and Sisterhood will jointly sponsor Breaking the Fast to end
the High Holy Days
• On Sunday, September 26th, at
the Renaissance Golf Course, the Men’s Club will represent Temple Beth
El in trying to recapture the famous Yiddush Cup.
• On Wednesday, October 20th
it’ll be showtime, as we visit The Broadway Palm Dinner Theater to see
the smash hit musical “Hairspray.”
• Saturday night, November 13th
will be a special Candlelight Dinner Party honoring all our Veterans in
the TBE Dubin Center as we host another evening of music, dancing,
food. fun and friends.
• The Men’s Club will “Welcome
in the New Year” on Sunday afternoon, January 2nd. It’ll be a festive
time with barbecue, music and lots of fun for everyone.
• As I write this, everyone is
anxiously anticipating the start of the football season. Well, the
Men’s Club is already anxiously anticipating the end of the football
season... for our 2nd Annual Super Bowl Tailgate Party. Mark the date
on your calendar: Sunday, February 6th.
• Just two weeks later, on
Sunday, February 20th, the parking lot of Temple Beth El will be the
showcase for the Men’s Club’s 2nd Annual Corvette and Classic Car Show.
•Then on Sunday evening, April
3rd, it’s Movie Night in the Dubin Center. We’re setting up a family
movie to be followed by pizza and some surprise classic videos.
• The calendar wraps up in late
May with a paid up members luncheon. Of course this doesn’t include
Men’s Club sponsored fishing trips, card playing, hockey games,
football games and a whole lot more. Why not join us. It’s a great way
to socialize with the guys.
Looking forward to seeing everyone this year.
